Network Marketing - The Last Hope

Dun dun dun!!! The last hope, the last frontier...the last of the Mohican's!

O.k., maybe it's not that dramatic, or is it? Calling network marketing the last hope is a bold statement, so why would I say it? It's because it's true, at least it is for the 99%.

The majority of the population of the world will never know what it's like to have any more than they do right now, at this very moment. They want more, they need more. They just don't know how to go about getting more. If there were an easy solution to the financial woes of the world everyone would take action.

It's this want and need for a better lifestyle that has people running to every corner gas station in the country multiple times a week to buy lottery tickets. They know that their chances of winning that huge life changing jackpot are slim, but they just have to try. Then they hold onto that ticket and talk about all of the good they could do if they just win. They pray for it, beg for it, hope for it and even make promises of charity and good will to anyone who will listen thinking it will boost their chances. In the end, they are still in the same position as before they bought the ticket, but it was still fun to dream about it.

I wish we lived in a world where everyone was given the same exact opportunity to own their own successful business from the time they are born. That there was an office, a restaurant, a salon, or a store all set up and waiting for them to take ownership once they turned 21. They would start out in life knowing they will never have to decide if they pay their mortgage, or buy food. That they would never have to tell their children they can't have that new pair of shoes or an ice cram after school.  I wish that people never had to know what it was like to struggle, or even just get by while watching others succeed.

It's a nice thought, right? You may be reading this wondering where I'm going with this...why hopes and dreams for a better world full of real opportunities has anything to do with the topic at hand.

It has absolutely everything to do with it. The things I talked about don't have to be dreams, they can be a reality. A dream that is brought to life by what I feel is the most amazing industry in the world, network marketing. Network Marketing is the last hope. It's the last hope for average people to do extraordinary things. It is the only industry that gives absolutely everyone on the planet an opportunity to own their own successful business and create that winning lottery ticket. It gives people the chance to take control of their own life and destiny and not continue to be stuck where they are now, for the rest of their lives. It gives everyone a chance to start something amazing with very little investment, sometimes just dollars. Getting a high paid job can cost you tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars in education. Opening a store or restaurant or any business can cost you even more. The majority of all people can not afford to do these things, but they absolutely can afford network marketing.

Network marketing is an opportunity for people to make their future what they want it to be. If you want to make money from home, network marketing is your answer. If you want to be your own boss but still have the help and support of an entire organization, network marketing is your answer. If you want to have unlimited earning potential that is determined by you and not someone else, network marketing is your answer. If you want to have the freedom to work around your schedule, network marketing is your answer. If you are tired of juggling bills and telling your children you don't have the money, network marketing can change all of that right now.

As long as you have dreams, are motivated and ready to make your life what it should be. Network marketing will be the answer to your prayers. There is no such thing as get rich quick, unless you are one of the lucky few who strike oil while planting tomatoes or buy that winning lottery ticket, but there is such a thing as work hard get rich. I work hard every day, but it's not hard work.

I am in love with everything about network marketing, it amazes me every day that everyone can have the same opportunity to be financially free.

Never stop trying, never let others bring you down, be what you are worth!

The Comfort Zone

One of the largest obstacles people encounter when working in network marketing, direct sales, or any other industry that requires you to sell products or sponsor others in order to earn an income is the comfort zone.

Imagine the door to door vacuum cleaner salesmen of many years past. Driving from neighborhood to neighborhood, knocking on the doors of complete strangers and asking if they can step inside and give a demonstration.

I remember a Kirby salesman knocking on my aunts door in 1990. He gave a demonstration that lasted about an hour (maybe longer) and when he was done my aunt could not wait to buy this huge, overpriced vacuum. Don't get me wrong, it was amazing...it did everything from yard work to cleaning the house top to bottom. But that on it's own would have never been enough to make the sale, it was the salesman himself that made this vacuum seem so amazing. He was flawless in his presentation and completely comfortable given the fact he was standing in a strangers house.

I can only imagine how uncomfortable he must have been when he knocked on that first door, or the first 100 doors or the first 1000.

Why was he so successful when so many others were unable to get even one sale?

He kept knocking on doors, he kept doing his presentation and eventually he was able to step completely out of his comfort zone and achieve perfection in his business. I can guarantee if there was a new feature, he was the first to learn about it, if there was a guarantee offered, he could recite it word for word, if the company held a meeting, he was the first one there.

It's not very often we come across-door to door salesmen these days, but we still have to face the fact that in order to succeed in this industry, we all need to be able to step out of our comfort zones.

I lost my comfort zone years ago but I remember how hard it was to pick up the phone and call that first prospect, or to do my first 3 way call with one of my team members. I remember what it felt like to do my first presentation in person for a group of people and how nervous I was when I did my first team call.

What is your comfort zone? What do you plan to do today to try and step outside of your comfort zone? If You no longer have a comfort zone, how do you help others step outside of theirs?

Have an Amazing & Successful Day!

It's Not Just A "Thing"

There are people out there who have a hard time understanding why we do what we do. Some people would call them nay-sayers, others would call them dream stealers. Whatever you call them, we all know that they are out there and have encountered them at some point in time.

As Jim Rohn put it, "There are only 8 or 9 really nasty, miserable people in the whole world.  Now the problem is they move around a lot and you’re likely to run into them.  When that happens you just have to say hey, there’s only a few more like you.  I can handle this."

Here is a little something I put together for all the work at home and network marketing warriors out there.

1. It's My Business
- You Work For A Business, I Own My Own Business

2. It's How I Make Money
- You Work For Someone Else, I Work For Myself

3. It's My Job
- You Leave To Go To Work Each Day, I Work At Home Each Day

4. It's A Lifestyle Choice
- You Chose To Follow A Set Schedule, I Chose Freedom

I don't believe in "Get Rich Quick" - I do believe in hard work and determination.

I don't believe in limitations on what can be done - I believe that with a passion to be free, anyone can be successful.

I don't believe in working by myself - I believe in working for myself.

I don't believe anyone has the right to steal dreams - I believe that dreams are meant to be lived, not thought.

Fun Promotional Ideas For Any Business

We all hit a wall some times when it comes to marketing our business. Here are a few fun ways to promote your opportunity, take your business offline and get back to the basics.

1 - Buy small business card size zip lock bags at Walmart in the craft section (about $2 for 100 or more) Add your business card and a sample or goody that relates to your business to each one and hand them out everywhere you go.

2 - Use colored saran wrap and add a sample. Gather at the top and tie with colored ribbon and add a tag with your contact information on one side/directions on the other. Hand them out.

3 - Use Etsy to find other people who work at home and search custom car vinyl decals and have one custom made for your vehicle that really stands out. It is much less expensive to do it this way and you are also paying it forward by supporting other home business owners.

4 - Buy small Hershey bars and address labels and print your business info on the labels and hand them out everywhere you go. At the bank, the grocery store or even the mall. Also hand these out to parents on holidays such as Halloween, Christmas & Easter.

5 - Buy pens with your url printed on them from a wholesale provider online and leave them anywhere people may need a pen. At the Bank, check cashing places, gas stations and grocery stores.

There are hundreds of ways to get your business out there that are fun, inexpensive and will really make people take notice. These are just a few of the things I like to do to get the word out off line.

Have fun and remember that as long as you keep promoting yourself and your business, success will soon follow!

When What You're Doing Isn't Working...

There are so many times I come across people in different companies that complain they just can't make money no matter what they try. It always amazes me because I feel that anyone who puts in an effort, assuming they have a good, viable product and an honest reliable company should be able to achieve some form of success in Network Marketing.

I like to push business aside and try to help people, regardless of what company they are with. We try to figure out what it is they do on a daily basis to grow their business, how they interact with the people they are dealing with, what it is they like to do, can do and are willing to do. I also like to find out how they really feel about their product and company, because you have to be truly excited about what you are sharing with others.

Many times it comes down to one simple statement that put's it into perspective for most people. If what you're doing isn't working...it's time to change what you are doing.

Now I'm not saying you have to run out and change companies, sometimes it's as easy as tweaking an ad you have online, or learning to step outside your comfort zone and pick up the phone to return a call. Other times the situation calls for a total change. I have people I'm working with now, that came from other companies who where able to make more here with me in a month than they made in an entire year elsewhere. Others just wanted support and needed to have someone who would answer their questions and give them advice.

No matter what it is you do, never stop learning, never stop growing, always be open to change and never stop believing because all success, no matter how big or how small starts with your dreams!
