The Motivating Little Spider

This is a True story.

In my back yard I have a little spider that has been living in the corner of my house on the porch for about a month. 2 weeks ago it laid an egg sack. It has been tending to this egg sack and guards it with it's life, I know this because every day I check in on the little spider. Last night a large beetle flew into the web about 8 inches below the egg sack. I watched as the tiny spider, maybe 1/4th the beetles size scurried down to retrieve the beetle. It attached a web to the beetle and tried dragging it up to the egg sack...it made it about an inch and the beetle fell and ended up breaking part of the web and being farther down than it was to start. The spider scurried down, fixed the web and once again attached a line to the beetle to drag it up to the egg sack. This time it made it about 2 inches before, once again, the beetle fell breaking the web and ended up even further down than it was just moments earlier. Diligently that tiny spider went right to work fixing the web again and tried to drag the beetle up to her egg sack. This went on for almost 6 hours, dragging, dropping, fixing (repeat) before finally the little spider was able to get the beetle to the egg sack so that when her babies hatch soon they will have food.

The moral to the story is, if something is important to you, no matter what obstacles get in your way, never ever stop trying and eventually you will succeed!

That was the most motivating thing I have ever witnessed. It never gave up.
