Network Marketing Is My Lemonade Stand

I want you to think back to when you were just a child. Remember that summer day you went racing into the house insisting to your mother that you had to have a Lemonade stand. Your Mom made you a big fresh pitcher of ice cold Lemonade and supplied you with Dixie cups. You asked Dad to help you build a stand out of scraps of wood he had lying around or maybe you just decorated a cardboard box. You pulled out a few sheets of paper and as you lay on the living room carpet coloring the sign you would hang on the front of your Lemonade stand with your best crayons, you day dreamed about all of the people who would stop at your stand just to buy your Lemonade. You decided a quarter was the perfect price, after all your mom does make the best Lemonade in the neighborhood!

As soon as everything was finished, Mom and Dad helped you drag it all out to the sidewalk in front of the house, you taped your little sign to the front of the stand you helped your dad make with your own two hands. You double checked to make sure you had enough cups and even a jar to put your quarters in and you sat there patiently as every car passed - hoping they would stop and buy some Lemonade from you. It was not long before you made your first sale. No quarter in the world was quite as shiny as the quarter you just got from your neighbor who insisted yours was the most wonderful Lemonade she had ever tasted.

As the hours passed you eventually ran out of Lemonade and it was time to close up shop and take everything back in and count all of your quarters. Your little mind was already racing thinking about all of the things you were going to do with the money you just earned. You thought surely you had enough for that new skateboard or doll you noticed in the store window last week. Maybe you were already planning to set your little stand back up again the next day and earn even more, you were so excited you even told Mom you would buy your own Lemonade this time. You carefully dumped your little jar of quarters out onto the table and started counting. The $9.25 you made seemed like a fortune, after all you were only 8 years old at the time.

If you had a Lemonade stand as a child, it is one of those memories you hold close to your heart. Waiting for the day you can do it all again with your own son or daughter.

Network Marketing is much like having a Lemonade stand. Setting up a Lemonade stand as a child took a dream, a desire and the beginning spirit of entrepreneurship. You did it not only because it was fun, but because it gave you a way to have your own little business and earn your own money. You did it because you wanted something that was important to you. Maybe it was a toy, a trip or even just an ice cream cone.

When I think back to my Lemonade stand, it makes me think of why I love network marketing so much. It gives everyone in the world an equal opportunity to go out there and make their dreams come true. We may not be selling Lemonade any more, but the idea remains the same.

Dream like a child, take action like a child and enjoy life like an adult that seizes the moment. I promise you if you give it everything you have, you will never have any regrets. Also remember to take the time and stop at every Lemonade stand you come across and support the children entrepreneurs of the world. Not only will it make their day amazing but yours as well.

Have a Wonderful Day!
